My name is Daryl Arnold and I provide high quality driving tuition/coaching in the Calderdale area.  I am a motoring enthusiast whose driving career started when I passed my own driving test way back in 1982. Having worked in Banking/IT for 27 years I made a career change and obtained my DVSA Approved Driving Instructor qualification passing all 3 phases first time and with flying colours.  The change is proving to be an excellent decision for both myself and the many pupils I have already helped pass their driving tests.

So what can you expect from me as your instructor and what makes me a better option than the many others you could choose? 

• Firstly I charge from just £37 an hour for lessons, this is very competitive in the local area but I realise you can find lower prices and introductory offers elsewhere, so why should you still choose me?  Well the overall cost of learning to drive is affected more by the number of lessons you take than by the hourly rate. As at Jun-24 pupils who have taken ALL their driving lessons with me have passed their test after an average of over 38.5 hours of lessons, by comparison the UK average is 47 hours tuition, so learn with me and you could save hundreds of pounds.

• So I can ensure each pupil gets tuition tailored to their needs and abilities I limit the numbers I enrol so you can be sure of being one of my Select few and I will work with you to find your ideal learning style.  Combined with my competitive prices you can expect to qualify in a shorter period of time and at a lower overall cost than you might be anticipating.

• I keep myself fully up to date with developments in the driver training industry through membership of associations, attendance at meetings, subscription to industry newsletters and by reading relevant books and websites.  I share much of this information back to pupils through social media.  I am an advocate of Continuing Professional Development examples being completion in 2015 of the BTEC Level 3 Qualification in Education and Training and regular attendance of industry webinars.

• As well as your in-car lessons you will also benefit from a full Welcome Pack including the Highway Code, supplementary training with Virtual Lessons via Zoom, a structured course,  quality and proven Theory Test support, regular updates about my YouTube channel, invitation to my Thursday evening Facbook Live sessions, memory joggers, your own driving journal, structured home study and access to the full DriverActive website.  All these are simple but extremely effective methods of consolidating and developing your skills and knowledge in between lessons.  I will also help you understand how to stay safe in years to come and challenge you to think about how safe your area really is to drive in.
